A man, who ran off to Mexico for 3 years, after shooting and killing his brother-in-law (after a fight with his wife, has pleaded guilty. 39 year-old Francisco Javier Navarro shot his 30 year-old brother-in-law during a family Christmas Eve party in Salinas in 2012. Navarro was arrested in April of 2016 at the U.S.-Mexico border. He is scheduled to be sentenced to 30 years and 4 moths in prison. That sentencing is currently slated to take place July 6th in a Monterey county courtroom.
