Santa Cruz County organizations are joining forces to raise awareness of the dangers of impaired driving. Janus of Santa Cruz as well as Santa Cruz and Capitola police are collaborating to promote the Mothers Against Drunk Driving program “Tie One On For Safety”. Participants are encouraged to tie a red ribbon to their vehicle during December, which has been designated as National Impaired Driving Prevention Month. The TOOFS program was launched in 1986 in an effort to remind everyone that drinking and driving don’t mix.
