Cap. to Borrow to close Mbl Home prk 01/27/12 TDH

Capitola city council members narrowly voted to approve borrowing more than 2-point-3 million dollars, to relocate residents of the city-owned pacific cove mobile home park.  The vote was 3 to 2.  the park was severely damaged during flooding last march.  The vote means that the park will likely close in the next 6 months.   Annual City payments on the borrowed money are expected to be between $220,000 and 230,000.  the money coveres relocation costs and consultants to help residents find new places to live.
