The death of a Salinas attorney is being investigated as suspicious in nature after he was found dead inside his home yesterday afternoon. Police were following up on a welfare check for 58-year old Mark Hafen at his home on the 700 block of Carmelita Drive after coworkers reported him missing to authorities. Detectives are said to be investigating and treating Hafen’s death as suspicious.
