2-salinas men have been sentenced to life in prison, for the murder of 25-year-old james lopez. lopez was gunned down outside of salinas’ los padres middle school in 2009. 23-year-old valentin rivas and 20-year-old benjamin carrillo were handed the sentence today in a monterey county courtroom. the 2 will be eligible for parole in 50-years.
