A San Jose developer wants to build a hotel, restaurant, and housing complex near Highway 17 in Scotts Valley. The less-than 18-acre parcel is on La Madrona Drive, between the Hilton Hotel and Silverwood Drive. The plans include a 180-room hotel, a 66-hundred square foot restaurant, and 184 residential units. The project would require a city general plan amendment and zone change (from Commercial…to High-Density Residential). People have until 5 p.m. October 21st to submit written comments….and recommendations (about what the environmental impact report should focus on (in regards to this project)). Due to the current pandemic, a Public Scoping Meeting is not scheduled to take place, however, the public is welcome to contact the Scotts Valley Planning Department with any questions.
