King City police are investigating the city’s first homicide of the year. At about 11:10 p.m. Saturday, patrol units arrived on the 100 block of River Drive, after receiving reports of gunfire at a trailer park. At the site officers located a victim with multiple bullet wounds laying next to a car. The victim identified as 20-year-old Antonio Mendez was pronounced dead at the scene.
