(07:54) BOULDER CREEK – The San Lorenzo Valley Water District has been recognized for its efforts to promote transparency and improve governance. The Special District Leadership Foundation of California has awarded the agency its Transparency Certificate of Excellence. In order to receive the reward, the district completed eight essential governance transparency requirements, which included conducting ethics training and holding open meetings. The agency also fulfilled 15 website requirements, including providing accessible information to the public, such as board agendas and the current district budget. (S.G.)
