(08:48) MONTEREY COUNTY – Monterey County officials have rejected a proposal that would require use permits and annual cannabis business permits for all medical marijuana operations in the unincorporated areas of the county. On Wednesday, the county’s Planning Commission voted unanimously against the proposal, stating it was too restrictive on cultivation. The commission is expected to come up with a recommendation on medical marijuana cultivation to present to the board of supervisors by the end of this month. The board is aiming to adopt regulations by July 26. (S.G.)
