(07:02) MONTEREY COUNTY – Monterey County voters will have the opportunity to vote on an anti-fracking measure in November. The initiative, led by the group Protect Monterey County, has collected over 16,000 signatures. Only 500 were needed to have the measure qualify for the November ballot. On Wednesday, the Monterey County Registrar of Voters will present the initiative to the Board of Supervisors, who will then decide to adopt the measure or put it on the ballot. If the measure is approved, Monterey County would join Santa Cruz and San Benito counties, who already have fracking bans in place. (S.G.)
