(10:55) Monterey City officials announced that Mcabee beach is open, after being closed last week due to a sewage spill. Health officials reported that contact with contaminated water may cause gastroenteritis and other water born illnesses. Samples that were taken recently revealed that bacteria levels were safe for people to get in the water.
