(08:35) SACRAMENTO – In the wake of the mass shooting in Orlando, the California Legislature has approved a bill package that would implement a number of gun control measures. The package contains nearly a dozen bills, including one that would require background checks for ammunition purchases. Other pieces of legislation would ban specific types of rifles, as well as require gun owners to turn in or destroy high-capacity magazines and report lost or stolen firearms. The bills have been sent to the Governor’s desk for signature. (S.G.)
