For many Jews, this weekend will likely mark the smallest Rosh Hashana many will have ever hosted or attended. State officials have asked families to forgo large holiday celebrations to focus on stopping disease transmission.
For some, that means home holiday celebrations that used to host a dozen or more celebrants may be down to just two or four people this year.
Some hosts fear for family members and friends who may have nowhere to go for their holiday. Some are preparing special holiday-themed gift and food packages that can be given to friends unable to attend larger celebrations. Hopefully, that will spread some happiness in our community.
All of us at KSCO wish all of our listeners and their families a safe and healthy holiday.
