(18:03) MONTEREY- The Monterey Police Department has joined a social media site. The department is now an active member of Nextdoor. The site is a private network with 1100 local members. Monterey police have asked members on the social media site to post information on crime in problem areas. Officers will then be able to concentrate efforts on the identified areas. The agency is also a member of Facebook and Twitter.
