(07:15) MONTEREY COUNTY – A Salinas man has pleaded no contest to conspiring to transport drugs. In March 2015, the Department of Justice busted a Monterey County drug trafficking operation following a three-month long investigation. During the investigation, 32-year-old Jesse Mendoza Hernandez was caught attempting to transport over 4 kilograms of methamphetamine from Mexico to California. He was arrested and transported to Monterey County Jail. Hernandez faces up to 10 years in prison when he is sentenced March 8. (S.G.)
