(06:46) SALINAS – A law that would have enabled the City of Salinas to clear out homeless encampments has been suspended. Last month, the city council voted in favor of a policy that would allow crews to remove tents and mattresses from the streets. The law was met by criticism from local homeless advocates, who filed a civil suit and launched a petition against the measure. The case will be heard in early March. In the meantime, the city has halted the enforcement of encampment sweeps. (S.G.)
