(07:15) SANTA CRUZ – The 2016 Gail Rich Awards will be presented in Santa Cruz this week. The award was named in honor of arts activist and promoter Gail Rich and honors several artists every year. The ceremony will be held Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at the Rio Theatre. The awards ceremony coincides with the opening of an exhibition titled “The Creatives Among Us: Celebrating 20 Years of the Gail Rich Awards”. The exhibition opens Monday at Cabrillo Gallery.
