January 24, 2017: Storms Create an Influx in Lost Pets

(09:50) Salinas – The Salinas Animal Shelter has had an influx of animals in the last month.  The shelter reported that they have taken 132 animals this month.  Employees believe the influx is due to the recent storms scaring pets away from their homes.  The shelter is encouraging owners to come pick up their pets and are making exceptions on some of their policies:  All boarding, city impound, and licensing fees are being waived, and any animal without a microchip will receive one free of charge.  To view lost and adoptable pets visit www.salinasanimals.com.
