The County of Santa Cruz Public Health department urges everyone six months and older to get vaccinated for the flu now before the virus starts circulating.
Health officials say that flu activity typically peaks in Santa Cruz County in December and January.
Cases and hospitalizations are already trending upwards in Santa Cruz County. And the data modeling shows it likely will continue to increase in the coming weeks.
You can get a flu shot now through your primary care doctor or a pharmacy. If you don’t have insurance, county clinics will provide flu shots for $15 to $69 per patient
