A program designed to help some students transition from agricultural life, to that of a professional, still has five openings. Salinas area college students with a migrant farmworker background are invited to apply for the 8-week internship in Washington D.C. The program is sponsored by the National Migrant and Seasonal Head Start Association. Applicants must come from a family that is, or has, worked in the agricultural field, and that student must be enrolled in college. Applications are available online at nmshsaonline.org, and must be filed by 5 p.m. on January 16th.
