an inmate at santa cruz county jail was found saturday morning dead in his bunk. the man’s death was reported at 8:45 a.m., and, although jail staff and paramedics attempted to resuscitate the inmate, the attempts were unsuccessful, and the man was pronounced dead at the scene. the cause of death is being investigated.
