Congregations at several local synagogues have held services to provide love and support to the Jewish community, in the wake of the shooting at the Tree Of Life Synagogue in Pittsburg. 11 people were killed in Saturday’s shooting. Cantor Margaret Bruner, with Temple Beth El in Salinas, said “It’s very important to come together as a whole.” “It doesn’t matter what faith you are, it doesn’t matter what race, religion, background socio-economic standing, this is what makes us strong. This is what makes us come together as a community and better serve each other and better support one another.”
