On Tuesday evening shortly before 7, Santa Clara County deputies spotted a vehicle speeding near Second and East San Carlos Streets in San Jose.
When deputies attempted to make a traffic stop, the driver led a high-speed chase on Interstate-280 to Highway 17.
The pursuit ended in the area of Parsons Avenue and Fairbanks Avenue in Campbell, where the driver was taken into custody without incident.
Sunnyvale resident Jesse Monahan was the identified driver of the vehicle, had several drug-related warrants up to $60,000. Additionally, Monahan was driving with a suspended license, and his vehicle was storing drugs as well as drug paraphernalia.
Monahan was booked into the Main Jail Complex in Santa Clara County.
