Although Highway 1 is still open through the Mud Creek and Paul’s Slide areas, it may not stay that way. Cal-Trans officials say that the Paul’s Slide area is still slightly active, and the coming rain storms could cause it to slip. They also say that they’re keeping a close eye on the Mud Creek Slide project area. Cal-Trans has issued a 48-hour traffic advisory for the 2 areas.
