A Salinas woman, accused in a June 10th wrong-way accident on Highway 101, was in courting Salinas today. The driver, Zayra Iglesias, age 21, of Salinas, faces up to almost 17 years in prison if convicted on DUI and other charges. 19-year-old Eduardo Madrid died at the scene of the accident. Two other persons were injured.
Today’s court appearance was to pick the date for a preliminary hearing, which has been set for September 27th.
