MONTEREY COUNTY – A special prosecution team in Monterey county has just gotten new funding. The 572 thousand dollar grant (from the California Office Of Traffic Safety) will allow the team to continue to work on d-u-i cases involving repeat offenders (from their arrests through their convictions and sentencing). 2012 was the first year Monterey county received the grant. The money will pay for positions for 1 investigator, and 2 prosecutors.
