Google To Test Driverless Cars in Silicon Valley 10-30-18 15:50 DC

After a decade in development, Google’s robotic car spin-off Waymo could become the first company to test fully driverless cars on California’s public roads after it received state approval on Tuesday. Waymo vehicles will be tested in Sunnyvale, Mountain View, Los Altos, Los Altos Hills and Palo Alto at speeds not to exceed 65-miles-per-hour. The company has such a program already underway in Arizona, where it hopes to start a ride-hailing service before year-end.
