A Gonzales woman says she’s been a victim of identity theft. The victim says someone took her banking information and made hundreds of dollars in charges to stores in another state. As many as 15 other Gonzales residents also say they had their banking information stolen within the past couple of weeks. A local business near Highway 101 is suspected to have been to blame. The victim was able to have the bank return the stolen money back into her account but had to close her previous account and open a new one.
