Sacramento County has been chosen as the location for the trial of the accused Golden State Killer. 72-year-old Joseph De Angelo will be tried for a dozen murders that occurred in Northern and Southern California during the 1970s and ‘80s.
There had been speculation the case would be tried in Southern California, but prosecutors said today that Sacramento presented less of a hardship for victims and witnesses and also protected De Angelo’s rights.
No trial date has been set.
