22 separate fires, that began Sunday north of Santa Cruz after dry lightning strikes, all converged to become the CZU AUGUST LIGHTNING COMPLEX. The wildfire has led to the evacuation of approximately 22-thousand people who live in Santa Cruz and San Mateo counties. 20 structures are confirmed destroyed, while nearly 8600 remain threatened.
