The first of several training sessions was held last night to teach people how to use Narcan. Narcan, also known as Naloxone, can be used to treat people who are suffering from an opioid overdose. The next training sessions are scheduled to be held from 7-8:30 this evening in the Oldemeyer Center in Seaside. Attendees will learn how to recognize the signs of an opioid overdose and administer the aerosol version of Narcan to reverse a potentially deadly overdose. Attendees will also receive a 2-pack of Narcan nasal spray.
