One man, one woman, and two juveniles were arrested in Santa Cruz early Friday morning following a car break-in. Police responded to a report of a car burglary on Pelton Avenue shortly after 4 a.m. Officers spotted and pulled over a minivan leaving the scene. Stolen items were found inside the vehicle. The driver, 20-year-old Tahja Birney, and passenger, 22-year-old Sergio Marcus Moro, were apprehended on charges including possession of stolen property and drug possession. The other passengers, two 17-year-old juveniles, were arrested on outstanding warrants.
