Monday kicked off the 17th week of brush removal along Highway 17.
Delays as a result of this project peaked at nearly 2 hours during the afternoon.
The brush removal project will continue to close a single lane in the Northbound direction of Highway 17 today and tomorrow (Wednesday) from 9 AM to 3 PM from Bear Creek Road to Highway 9.
After this week, the “Fire Safe 17” project will pause for the upcoming holiday and New Year.
