(10:45) Monterey – The City of Monterey is looking for a new fire chief, after their current chief was dismissed last week. Gaudenz Panholzer was notified last week that he is being dismissed, but will remain in uniform and work through the end of December. The City manger refused to comment on the reasons for dismissing Panholzer. At this time there has been no official announcement of who will be taking over the position at the beginning of January.
