Survivors of this fire season’s wildfire, who may be eligible for disaster assistance through F.E.M.A. are encouraged to get their applications in before the December 11th deadline. Both grants and low-interest disaster loans are available for people who were negatively impacted by any of the wildfires that were declared disasters by the governor. The F.E.M.A. money can be used for paying rent, home repair, vehicle repair or replacement, funeral expenses and other disaster-related costs. Before registering with F.E.M.A., people need to file a claim for damage with their insurer.
