(15:26) SALINAS – Child murder suspect Gonzalo Curiel was moved from juvenile hall to the Monterey County Jail today (Mon). This after Curiel turned 18 last week (Mon). Though Curiel’s defense cited safety concerns as reason against his transfer, the DA’s office said the juvenile hall is not qualified to handle defendants facing such significant charges. Curiel is awaiting trial along with partner Tami Huntsman. Huntsman was confirmed to be pregnant last week. Whether Curiel is the father has yet to be determined.
