(07:41) SANTA CRUZ COUNTY – Several Santa Cruz County schools have been awarded grants to help fund teacher-directed projects. The grants have been distributed by the organization Schools Plus, also known as the Public Schools Foundation of Santa Cruz County. Shoreline Middle School has received $4,000 to hold a kite-building class in the spring. An additional $1,300 has been given to Del Mar Elementary for new school supplies, while another $1,200 has been awarded to Live Oak Elementary to support its library and a garden project. (S.G.)
