(17:30) MONTEREY – McAbee Beach in Monterey will remain closed for the foreseeable future. A ground penetrating radar search was conducted by the Department of Public Health today in attempt to locate the source of the oil leakage that initially shut down the beach two weeks ago. The spillage is contained but still bubbling, the Department of Public Health said. Further attempts to locate the source will continue tomorrow, and the situation will be further evaluated once data has been collected.
