February 16, 2016: Salinas Woman Injured in Shooting on Baldwin Street

(08:50) SALINAS – A woman was injured in a shooting in Salinas Monday night. The incident occurred in the area of Baldwin Street and West Laurel Drive shortly before 10 p.m. The 36-year-old woman was reportedly stopped at an intersection when she was shot from the passenger side of her vehicle. The victim drove out of the area and returned home before being transported to the hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. The shooter has been described as a Hispanic male adult, around 18 to 20 years old, 140 pounds, and about 5-foot-7 with a medium complexion. He was wearing a black beanie and cut off shorts. The suspect vehicle has been described as a silver SUV. Anyone with information is to contact Salinas police. (S.G.)
