(18:23) SALINAS – Although the Salinas Relay For Life isn’t scheduled to take place for another 3 months, it actually took its first step over the weekend. Cancer survivors, Salinas residents, and other volunteers registered their relay teams Saturday at the Northridge Mall. The Relay is the American Cancer Society’s top fundraiser, and more than 5200 U.S. communities take part in it throughout the year. The Relay For Life movement celebrates people who have battled cancer, remembers loved ones lost, and takes action to finish the fight once and for all. The 2016 Salinas Relay For Life is scheduled to take place May 20th and 21st.
