Turning to Santa Cruz County Elections, there were an assortment of county seats were up for election for three different county districts.
Beginning with the First District, John Leopold is projected to run off in the November election, with 45.79 percent of voters nominating him, with Koenig following behind at 29.28-percent. That’s short of the simple majority required to win the vote this election.
As for District 2, Zach Friend is projected to also retain his supervisor role, with 67.98-percent of voters re-electing him.
Bruce McPherson ran unopposed in District 5.
Meanwhile, Nancy De La Pena is projected to become a Santa Cruz Superior Court Judge, gaining 43.48-percent of the votes with Annrae and Jack Gordon trailing behind.
