The name of the man who died in an accident on San Benancio Road Sunday night has been released. 60 year-old Salinas resident Lawrence Robert Carroll was heading southbound when his vehicle went off the roadway and into a utility pole and then a tree. Carroll was pronounced dead at the scene.
