The Dolan fire, burning deep in the Santa Lucia Range, south of Big Sur, forced a team of 14 wildland firefighters into their shelters overnight Tuesday.
A Los Padres National Forest Guard Station was destroyed.
At the time, 14 firefighters were assigned to the area to protect the station from the flames.
Three of the firefighters were injured and flown to Fresno Regional Hospital for treatment. All inhaled smoke and endured burns. One firefighter was listed in critical condition.
