A controversy is brewing over dirty needle exchange in Santa Cruz County.
It seems the common goal tho is to keep dirty needles off local beaches. “the harm reduction coalition of Santa Cruz county” wants to prevent the spread of h-i-v by handing out more needles.
But there’s a petition in circulation with an estimated one thousand signatures to prevent more needle give-aways. Concerned citizens say the ratio of give-away to collection is too lopsided on the give-away side.
