Santa Cruz County has received a $9,000 gift for the purchase and distribution of diapers and baby wipes to Medi-Cal families in need. The money comes from the Central California Alliance for Health and is part of a diaper drive that is currently underway. The purpose of the drive, beyond helping infants, is reducing family stress, particularly on new moms who are often prone to depression.
Tiny Tots Diaper Service and the Family Resource Center are collecting cash, diapers, and wipes for the campaign.
