(12:55) SANTA CRUZ- Attorneys are expected to present closing arguments in the murder trial of a Soquel man today (Monday). On Friday, Lawyers for the Defense and Prosecution rested their cases in the trial of 32 year old Eric Weers. Weers has been charged with murder and a special allegation of causing great bodily injury, for intentionally driving onto Highway 17 the wrong way and deliberately crashing into an oncoming vehicle, killing the driver, 49 year old Ana Luz Barajas of Santa Cruz. Weers faces 15 years to life in prison if convicted.
