(18:01) MONTEREY- Gun Shop owners on the Central Coast are reporting a rise in gun and ammunition sales in the aftermath of the San Bernardino mass shootings. Firearm instructors have also experienced a rise in requests for gun training. Gun stores and sporting goods shops typically see additional weapons sales after shooting incidents locally and abroad. There has also been an increase of applications for concealed weapons permits. The Monterey County Sheriff’s office processes between 10 and 20 permit a month. Meanwhile permit seekers often arm themselves with stun guns and pepper spray during the process.
