(10:46) MONTEREY COUNTY – A Monterey County judge ruled against a motion by Salinas Rodeo to keep internal documents secret. The motion was presented in a lawsuit, filed by the organization Showing Animals Respect and Kindness or SHARK, a Geneva-based investigative agency represented by the Animal Legal Defense Fund. Representatives of SHARK attended the Rodeo and documented dozens of animal injuries while Rodeo officials only reported a few to the Veterinary Medical Board. The trial for the case is set to begin May 16, 2016. (C.G.)
