(07:42) SALINAS – Police are investigating a case of animal cruelty in Salinas. Officials say a man returned to his home on Williams Road Thursday to find his dog severely beaten. The dog was taken to the veterinarian where he was later euthanized, due to the severity of his injuries. Investigators believe the individual who killed the dog was possibly a burglar attempting to break into the home. Anyone with information is urged to contact Salinas police. (S.G.)
