(09:12) SALINAS – Salinas Valley Memorial Healthcare System has been recognized for its commitment to patient safety. The non-profit organization Leapfrog Group gave SVMHS an “A” grade in its Fall 2015 Hospital Safety Score. The survey rates medical institutions on how well they protect patients from errors, injuries and infections. The study reviewed over 2,500 hospitals and less than one-third received an “A” grade. SVMHS received the same rating last year, as well as in the Spring 2015 survey. (S.G.)
